About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Do Good Club website. By using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information.

What Do Good Club does

We help people find community groups, take part in them, and find ways to contribute and lead. We list clubs and groups run by other people and organisations. We don't run, supervise or insure those groups, and we aren't responsible for what happens at their activities.

Listings

• We check listings with organisers and re-check them regularly, but details such as times, places and costs can change. Confirm with the club before you go.
• A listing, badge or introduction isn't a guarantee of a club's safety, quality or suitability for you.
• We may edit, pause or remove any listing at our discretion, including when an organiser asks us to.

Taking part safely

• Use your own judgement about which activities suit your health, fitness and circumstances.
• Follow the organiser's instructions and any rules of the venue or activity.
• For first visits, meet in public places and let someone know where you're going.
• If something at a club worries you, tell the organiser and let us know at hello@dogoodclub.org.au. In an emergency, call 000.

Introductions and programmes

When you ask for an intro, we pass your first name and note to the organiser. Organisers decide who can join their group. Programmes such as the board observer pathway may involve screening, and places are not guaranteed.

If you run a club

When you list or confirm a club, you agree that:

• you're authorised to act for the club and the information you give us is accurate;
• you'll tell us promptly if details change or the club stops meeting;
• you hold the rights to any photos or content you supply, and the people shown in photos have agreed to them being used;
• you're responsible for running your activities safely and lawfully, including any insurance, permits and safeguarding your club needs;
• you'll use the details of people we introduce only to welcome them to your club.

You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish the content you supply on our website and channels while your club is listed.

Using the site

You must not:

• submit false, misleading or offensive information, or nominate a group in order to harm it;
• use the site to harass, spam or collect information about others;
• copy the directory in bulk, scrape it, or interfere with how the site works.

Our content

The Do Good Club name, logos, stickers and the content we write belong to us. Photographs credited to Unsplash are used under the Unsplash Licence. You may share links to our pages freely.

Links to other sites

Club pages link to Instagram accounts, websites and booking pages run by others. We aren't responsible for their content or practices.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we provide the site as it is, and we aren't liable for loss arising from your use of it or from your participation in any club or activity listed on it.

Changes

We may update these terms. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it changed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
